DYNO PROVEN

2048 HP / 1620 Torque - The engine has a 2 stage nitrous system from Shannon Jenkins and SpeedTech.This was a very conservative tune up, with a lot of retard and would be an ideal starting point.

1500 Hp / 1250 Torque - On motor only. has a BSFC right at .400 low exhaust temps. and 100 psi oil pressure.

730 HP at 6900 rpm, 667 ft lb of torque at 5100 rpm

On our Superflow dyno this motor made 455 HP with an amazing 550 ft. lb. of torque. It idles great, runs on 92 pump gas, has good throttle response and driveability. This would be the ideal street rod small block.

The new engine is delivered from Ohio Crank with JE dish blower piston with 8.4/1 compression ration along with rotating hardware such as Ohio Crank’s own line of E6385 extreme duty I-beam rods and a 4340 4.25 steel crankshaft. A Merlin III 350cc aluminum head is used with a Comp Cams hydraulic roller cam.

The Complete BDS polished 8.71 blower and drive and Holley supercharger carburetors. Also used is Canton pan, Total Seal rings, Federal Mogul race bearings and a SFI damper and flex plate.

Based on the brand new Merlin III block and featuring Merlin iron heads and aluminum intake the new 550 has produced some phenomenal numbers on the dyno. The engine was designed for daily street use and starts great and idles at a smooth 700 RPM. On the dyno, 18 pulls were made to optimize timing, jetting, etc. Different rocker ratios and carb spacers were also tested.

The engine features all premium components including 4340 steel crank,
H-beam rods, forged SRP pistons, Sealed Power plasma moly rings, race bearings parts that will take a good shot of nitrous. A complete Comp Cams valve train is used including the latest technology hydraulic roller cam. Top line brands like MSD, Manley, Holley, and Moroso finish the package.

Engines are built with Merlin III or Dart blocks, Merlin heads , Merlin X intake, Ohio Crankshaft 4340 forged 4.75" stroke crank, H-beam rods with ARP 2000 bolts, Canton pan, Comp cam, Jesel sheft rockers, ATI damper, Fel-Pro gaskets, and Melling oil system

Every component is available off the shelf, the bore size will allow two rebores, and the compression is 14.3:1 which does not require the ultra expensive gas, or could be run on alcohol.

The Best part is the price at $11,995, less carb, ignition and valve covers, this is a really great deal.
